    You could just have a LOT of trub/yeast. When I make wheats in BIAB, there's a boatload of trub once it's all settled. It easily fills 2 balls. Just Dump the first one, add the second, wait a day or so, tap thee sides if necessary, repeat. :mug:

    Weizenbock: Over pitch or under pitch

    Weizenbock is typically pitched with a hefeweizen yeast which is an ale. By style, it's basically a hefe brewed to "bock strength". To the OP, I think you'll be ok underpitching a little. Hope your batch comes out great, post back how it tastes! :mug:

    You got it. Both of the Doppels I've made were with 833 slurry from a dunkel or Bock batch. They were off and bubbling within 4-6 hours and pitched below 55 degrees. Doppels have by definition a high gravity and need lots and lots of happy yeast cells.

    The O ring is definitely there. In fact, from so much tightening, it's been flattened on the side facing down somewhat. Just racked my 4th batch, this one hasn't leaked yet. I'll need to replace that O ring soon probably. More teflon tape seemed to help this time.

    I'm absolutely certain it's leaking at the middle of the union. Next time I will lube up those threads and skip the tape right there. I did tape the bottom of the conical carefully and it is definitely not dripping from there. On the plus side, this appears to be a problem with the manufacture...

    Yeah the O ring is there, I checked before hooking it up, just weird that it's still leaking with all the tape plus how tight it is.
