All of those sounds amazing. I am probably going to work the kinks out on some sort of Amber, just wanted to make sure it wasn't blasphemy! Haha

Still green to the homebrewing experience, only a couple wheats under my belt. Last batch was a partial mash, woo! Anywho, I have about 2lbs of wheat DME leftover from the last batch and wanting to branch out a bit. I enjoy most types of beer, but wanting a session beer for spring. If I add...
Haha true true. I live in Iowa, where its just below freezing outside right now. Sat the bucket outside for about three minutes and that dropped the bucket to about 72F, and I know that'll acclimate to around 64F in the room. Whew. Got a little too worked up for a minute there.

Took my sweet time setting up a recipe for my third batch. I was going to try a partial mash. Got my grains in the mail (munich) and realized I forgot to order them crushed. Spent about an hour with a rolling pin and eventually just called it good. Mashed 1# of the munich and a half pound of...

Looking at 1.051, which from what I gather is pretty typical and the ceiling for extract beers. I have some honey and honey malt leftover from a honey wheat beer I have bottle conditioning though.

4#s Wheat DME
1# Munich Malt
1oz Liberty (60min)
0.5oz Liberty (40min)
0.5oz Liberty (10min)
Danstar Munich Yeast...
Just bottled a honey wheat ale this weekend and wanting to fill up the fermenter with malty goodness. Just not sure what to make. I am comfortable with extract brews and specialty grains. Looking at making an easy Hefe, but open to other ideas. Only two brews under my belt so bear that in...
Just taking some gravity readings on a honey wheat I'm making, and a name for it finally popped into my head. After years away, I've finally settled back down in my home town. So I thought hey! Hometown Honey Wheat has a nice ring to it! I'm not sure if anyone else is using that name or not...
None are in the fridge. Just used one as a tester. Will any of the sweet/yeasty flavor clear up though? Thanks man!
