Question from a newbie - Looking at recipes for what will be my fourth batch of beer I see many that following fermentation and before bottling I story in secondary at 50 degrees for a few weeks. I don't have the ability to do this.My previous beers, all of which I bottled after two weeks once...
Great - thanks so much for the advice. Any suggestions on what would be a good next beer to try? Not much for porters our stouts, really enjoy true pilsners and red ales but I understand pilners can be challenging brews. Any thoughts?

Really just did a search for home brewing and you topped the page. I am a rookie - in early fermentation of my first brew - and have a basic question about how I am coming along. Have a suggestion on a thread I should enter?
Rookie home brewer here, three days in to my first brew using an American
IPA kit. The airlock started bubbling about 18 - 20 hours in and after three days I have about an inch of foam in my fermenting bucket, stored in a 68 degree dark room.
My question is I fear the wort was not cool...
