    Why does beer change as you drink it.

    Every time I brew a beer I keg it in a 5 gallon keg. The first gallon or so is okay beer but then about half way through the beer gets spot on. It's a really good brew. What is going on with the first gallon? Why does it taste different and frankly slightly off. Is it that it needs to age...

    Hmmm, a centrifuge!!!

    Has anyone used an oil centrifuge to separate yeast before kegging? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsLGX-RbKuQ It would need to be filled with CO2 first to avoid oxygenation. I would love to have a small centrifuge to clarify finished product.

    MgCO3 is pretty insoluble in water. However, I bet under pressure it will dissolve like CaCO3. I did an experiment with atmospheric pressure. It will dissolve some but mostly just settles to the bottom. I bet it will act like CaCO3 in a mash. It doesn't dissolve easily either. Rock climbing...
