x2 on the brewing with friends. I have screwed up big time, like taking the hose off of the brew kettle with the valve open. So I try to only drink one beer to toast a successful brew day.

Terrible so it looks like it is legal for them to beak down your door with a swat team and measure how many oz of beer you have in the frige? I think I will stay in TX.

My next decision will be whether to secondary or not. I usually dont any more I just leave it in the primary for 2 weeks. So should I just throw in the hops and leave it for another week before kegging? I am not washing the yeast on this one I just used dry yeast.

I use cheap vodka. It keeps the critters out and if it get sucked in to the car boy it wont hurt anything, just give it a bit more abv.
