I was hoping to get some suggestions for brewing a beer with a longer fermentation than I usually do. Up to now I have kept my brewing simple dealing with ales and hefs but I have a pretty good pipeline going now so I thought I'd use an empty fermentor to try a longer fermentation beer. I'm...
Check the lid for a pull tab on the side that you unwind around the lid. For some reason most fermenter bucket lids have this on them and it took me awhile to figure it out with my first one. It will fit after you take it off.
You can see the lip of the pull tab in the photo of the lid on this...
I had no idea about hops being deadly to dogs! Too bad about your grain but at least he didnt eat through your wall or pull up your kitchen floor like my sweet lab did (and like you those sad brown eyes you just cant stay mad at !)

Did you pull off the extra plastic on the lid? There should be a little tab on the rim -- pull it and it will take about 1/2 inch of the rim with it and the lid will fit perfectly. i had this problem as well.
Probably so. I'm not picking on you so i hope it didnt come across that way. i have noticed that on numerous threads on here people get pissy when someone answers what it stands for like it's a guarded secret when in reality it's not, that was what i was trying to point out on here. :mug:
