This past weekend was filled with unpacking the new house. However SWMBO has graciously suggested that we should switch to a Propane burner setup for Outside brewing... Now to figure out the right system to buy or build.
Them having you sign a paper that says it "works" when you take it wasn't with you testing it out yourself. The document isn't worth the paper its printed on. It's something they think will make you pay for their mistakes. They obviously didn't test it thoroughly enough when they were "done".
However I have to hand it to my boss. He apparently went and talked to the offending co-worker about it and said he nearly strangled him for what he did. (Yes the exaggerations and lies were that significant)

Fermentation times on the instructions are rarely ever correct. While at optimal conditions this might be true for bottling in 6 days. Generally longer is not a bad thing. Most of my ciders sit for several months before I bottle.
