Wisconsin Brand New Dark Star Burner, never been used

I've had a couple of people mention interest, but no one has committed. The burner is still available.

Wisconsin Brand New Dark Star Burner, never been used

As the title states, I've got a brand new Dark Star Burner that I don't need. I can get pictures up to anyone who needs them for proof that it hasn't been used. I do not have the original box. I have a box that it fits in for shipping, but the original was ruined (the burner wasn't actually...

Going all-grain.. extra brew pot as mash tun?

I'm not planning on going with a fly sparge method, so I don't see why I need a huge HLT. From what I've read, I'll need to heat up ~5 gallons for the initial mash and the sparge. And I don't need to use a cooler; I went with that idea initially because it was cheaper than getting a second pot...

Going all-grain.. extra brew pot as mash tun?

I'm looking to go all-grain. I currently have a aluminum 6 gallon brew pot that I've been using for extract brews. My original plan was to grab a 10 gallon aluminum pot and a 10 gallon round cooler for my kettle and mash tun and use my original 6 gallon pot to heat sparge water (for batch...

Second batch of mead bottled! (Cyser)

Right now, they are all in the boxes the bottles came from. I'm going to build a cheap, simple, but large wine rack either this weekend or the next. Most of my bottles are green (I'm planning on a couple of clear for each batch for pictures and the like), so a little light shouldn't hurt...

Second batch of mead bottled! (Cyser)

Yep :) I used k-sorbate and k-meta together to stabilize it.

Second batch of mead bottled! (Cyser)

I used a similar process as my traditional mead (check my history for it if you are curious). I bottled my first batch after a bit over 5 weeks, and this batch was the same. I used about 17lbs of honey, 5.5-6 gallons of unpasteurized cider (straight from the press!), and the final gravity was...

    First batch bottled!

I left it dry. I know now that it was unnecessary. Oh well, shouldn't affect the flavor too much.

    First batch bottled!

Also, first post! I started my first ever batch of any ferment-able drink on August 17th. It was bottled on September 23rd, a little over 5 weeks from start to finish. I plan on letting it age a couple of months before opening a single one for consumption, and track how the aging changes the...
