Last year Roundy's (Midwest grocery chain) started making beer and had it on sale for $5/6 pack. At that price it was a no brainer. They had 4-5 different styles and they were all quite drinkable.
I'm pretty price conscious and have trouble justifying $8+ for a sixer. Were that price $5-$6...
I did the exact same thing with mash temps on my first AG biab. My efficiency turned out to something like 35%. Putting my pot in the oven (turned to low) was the trick that helped me get temp loss under control.
