Pid and motorized ball valve for glycol

I've bought quite a lot of stuff from this website. That link should take you to assorted power supplies. PSB24-060 should be plenty to run that valve, and it's only 36 bucks.

Pid and motorized ball valve for glycol

I saw that on the paperwork. It also shows those as switched outputs, most likely dependent on settings. Set as PID you would attach an SSR to 6 and 8. Set as "ON/OFF", you would attach a coil of some sort to common and the N.O. or N.C. This is the way I understand it, anyway. Relay output is...

Pid and motorized ball valve for glycol

A doorbell transformer doesn't offer much for current. I hope it's enough power to turn your valve.

Pid and motorized ball valve for glycol

This is where I would start. If it works backward from what you expect, attach green to 6 on your PID instead of 8 ETA : Oops, I forgot to attach neutral to 10 on the controller.

There are several possible issues getting in your way. Do you have a model and manufacturer for your ball valve?

First time brewer — bung and airlock popped off

I had that happen with my first beer. I used to use a bleach solution to sanitize, and the bungs would stay put pretty well. I bought Star San and have been using that. I've noticed that it tends to make things a little more slick, and when the fermentation got really active, it blocked my...

    Got the bug

Thank you. I actually used a brew bag, and I was surprised at the amount of stuff that still made it into the wort. Nothing solid, of course, just gelatinous stuff I assumed was from the grain starches, as there wasn't any real substance left in the spent grain. It was little more than empty hulls.

    Got the bug

I jumped into the beer hobby with both feet. I bought an all-grain bourbon vanilla porter kit from Box brew kits. Brew day went well. I was conscientious about sanitization, laid out everything I needed ahead of time in the order I would need it. Maintaining my mash temp was a trick, and I had...

    Help! Banana Wine Worries!

I can't take credit for it. I read somewhere that it's an old moonshiner's trick. They had to be pretty inventive back in the day. Lol

It wasn't pretty, and it began leaking again a few days after, so I added more. I ordered some fermentation lids and swapped when they arrived and I had a chance to clean and sanitize them.

    Help! Banana Wine Worries!

I'm pretty new at the hobby, so my advice is worth about what you paid, but I think if it's fermenting well and has only been a few days, your wine is probably ok. Where is your airlock on that container? My first mead was a micro batch in a quart mason jar. It was fermenting away like crazy...

    Help! Banana Wine Worries!

If you're fermenting in a bucket, check the lid seal. If the CO2 can escape from a bad lid seal, your airlock won't bubble.
