Dogfish Head 750ml Bitches Brew Bottle

Yessir. Turns out it is 26mm. I capped one on the bottle to test it and happily glass didn’t break into my hand 😆 Thanks!

Dogfish Head 750ml Bitches Brew Bottle

I've tried to compare it. The lip is definitely wider than other bottles. I'm afraid to break it by capping it.

Dogfish Head 750ml Bitches Brew Bottle

I have one and am not sure if I need a 26mm or 29mm bottle. From what part do I measure the bottle top?

Alternative to Reflectix - Everbilt Insulation

Interesting. Definitely sounds like a good idea.

Alternative to Reflectix - Everbilt Insulation

That's awesome. I honestly don't have much of an issue with losing temps for mashing. Sure, I made go from say 152 to 149 after 30-45 minutes, but that's still a good mash as far as I'm concerned.

Alternative to Reflectix - Everbilt Insulation

That's great to hear. You're using Reflectix, or a knock-off?

Alternative to Reflectix - Everbilt Insulation

You're the first person I've heard question it's value. Most posts I've read swear by it, especially when trying to heat up a kettle on an 1800w induction burner. Do you have any recommendations?

Thought so. Thanks. I'll think I'll give it a shot.

Alternative to Reflectix - Everbilt Insulation

Anyone ever come across this alternative to Reflectix? It's called Everbilt, and it appears to be half the price. Would it have the same effect for insulating a kettle on an induction burner or for mashing...

1800W Induction Burner - How many watts are safe?

I should mention my extension is rated for I believe 1625W. I could buy an extension rated for 1800W alternatively, but I think to be on the safe side, I still with 1500W from induction burner and get some Reflectix.

1800W Induction Burner - How many watts are safe?

I have an 1800W induction burner that I've used for about a year now, but I typically don't go above 1500W. On a traditional 15 amp circuit, which is 1800W, how much can I safely use? I understand there's an 80% recommendation for long-term (3 or more hours, which I won't need anyway), but I...

American Pale Ale 15 Minute Cascade Pale Ale

Two weeks in the bottle, but good after 10 days. I modified this because I didn't have any Crystal 60, so I did Golden Light and Pale Ale extract (Liquid and DME, respectively), and steeped Crystal 20 (12%) and Crystal 90 (2%). As good as the OP describes, with enough malt body to balance out...

I brewed a favorite recipe today

Recipe looks great. First thing I thought of when you said you use an ale yeast for, traditionally, a lager recipe was "Nottingham at 60 degrees F." That might be a happy medium.
