Been a while since I've brewed, double check my recipe/process?

Been a while since I've brewed, double check my recipe/process?

I've brewed mead and a few beers before but am about to do my first cider. It's been a couple years since my last brew, so trying to make sure I'm not missing anything here. I'm thinking of doing 2 ciders at once. Both will be dry, but I'll be adding raspberries to the second cider. I prefer...

Martin House Day Break (Breakfast Beer) Clone?

Bump. I know there's a lot of love for this beer in Dallas. Surely someone has tried to make a clone.

Martin House Day Break (Breakfast Beer) Clone?

So there's a newish brewery out of DFW called Martin House. They make one of my favorite beers of 2013 called Day Break. It's a breakfast beer. It's billed as a 4-grain beer, that's fermented to be dry, and then slightly sweetened with honey and milk sugar. Wondering if anyone has...

    Saint Arnold's Endeavour - let's create a recipe!

How did this turn out? Would love to attempt for my next brew. Really impressed with what St. Arnold's was able to do with Endeavour.

6 gal batch turned out as 5 gal. What now?

Yes, partial mash. Was estimating efficiency. What do partials typically see? Again, I've got no gravity readings, just estimations based on the recipe.

6 gal batch turned out as 5 gal. What now?

Actually looks like it should be fairly awesome. Didn't have enough fields for all my hops, but if this is close, should be pretty good!

Here's the recipe and the original expected gravities: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/first-brew-ipa-what-can-you-tell-me-about-308537/

So what should I expect? Higher abv, stronger flavor, etc?

6 gal batch turned out as 5 gal. What now?

Good to know. Seems to be what happened. When I poured into my 6 gal fermenter bucket, seemed like it was pretty full. I knew there would be boil off, but guessed the extract volume would help account for it. Next time... I didn't take gravity readings. :(

6 gal batch turned out as 5 gal. What now?

Brewed my first batch. It was a 6 gallon batch, basic IPA. Made the newb mistake of not having gallon markers on my fermenter, and used a total of 6 gallons of water (boiled with 2.5, added 3.5 post boil). Had hoped this would be enough. When I went to rack it to my secondary after a week of...
