    Kegging Cloudiness

Sunday night I kegged a Northern Brewer NZ IPA I brewed a few weeks back. When I transferred it it was nice and clear, and tasted great. I added the dry hops (they send pellets and not whole leaf, which sucks), into a cloth and into the keg to try to keep some of the sediment contained. I've had...

    CO2 Regulator Help

Thanks for the responses guys. This regulator has shown the exact same pressure since I got it, from completely full tank to bone dry tank. Yes it is in the fridge so I know the reading will be off, but as it stands it is completely worthless as I have no clue how much CO2 is in the tank

    CO2 Regulator Help

I just recently made the switch to kegging after purchasing a nice 3 keg setup. I checked all of the check valves at the manifold and replaced one of them, so it looks like everything past the regulator is sealed. Onto the regulator.... The low pressure gauge is working well, but I cannot seem...

    An Empty Keg Of Sadness

I was fairly optimistic because I was supposed to pick up a full keg of an ESB I brewed a 10 gal batch of with a buddy, only that he has pneumonia and couldn't make it. So it's still an empty keg without my next ready till this weekend. Oh well a chance to try new beers for a week... And what a...

    Want my keggle openings larger

If you have a jigsaw it will make your life much easier than an angle grinder. I just cut my opening in under 10 minutes, and that includes smoothing out the opening. The metal blades are cheap and I only needed 2.

    An Empty Keg Of Sadness

I guess I drink more each night than I thought, since I was the only person that pulled a beer off of it. Luckily I have an ESB ready to put in this keg and a rye IPA fermenting. Hopefully I can find another keg before its ready.

    An Empty Keg Of Sadness

I kegged my first ever batch a few weeks ago, a IPA of my own recipe. While watching hockey I went down for a refill and gurgle gurgle and foam. This is a very bad time for me...

    Simplest (?) Keggle Cutting Jig

I'm sorry, bit I just don't understand the obsession with all of these jigs. I just just out a keg with a jigsaw and it came out great. All I had to do is take. A piece of sandpaper and smooth out the edges but it was definitely much cleaner than a grinder could ever get it. Just a thought...

    Beer Leaking From CO2 Line

Thanks for the replies, sounds like there must have been some pressure in the keg. I hooked it up to a different valve and it worked fine. Hopefully the supplier will remedy this. And it very well may be filled above the line (a line I knew nothing about until now) because I'm trying to dry hop...

    Beer Leaking From CO2 Line

I just purchased a 3 keg kit with a nicely built manifold on the gas line. Each line coming off of the manifold has a ball valve. I am a complete newbie when it comes to kegging. I just hooked up the lines to my new tank and to the keg. When I add air to the keg I am leaking beer from the ball...

    Priming Sugar Taste

This thread sure sprang to life while I was at work today.... Yes the beer is fairly young, 4 weeks. I guess I'll let it sit a little while longer and see if the taste goes away. You guys are cruel and honest, I like it!

    Priming Sugar Taste

I recently brewed an IPA recipe and decided to take it to our local bike shop for our weekly happy hour for others to critique. These are definitely guys with good beer palates, and one is a pretty big brewer. The first thing one tasted commented on the taste or the priming sugar. I guess I've...

    Ruthless Rye

I just bought a full keg of it on Rochester NY, so it's definitely available. Awesome beer, not at all what I expected but good.

    wasabi ipa

There's actually a sushi joint here in Rochester that has a local microbrew make them a wasabi pale. It's actually pretty good, if anything I would want more wasabi flavor, kick. Good luck
