Thanks a lot for sharing the info....Did you fix the insulation yourself or is it some kind of box that came with insulation. Nonetheless will check out the DIY videos. I suppose if it's covered it would make a huge difference...The bucket i'm using is just open so obviously I lose (or gain...
Thanks for the encouragement! I definitely planned to lager for at least 4 weeks. After that will keep a few bottles for a while longer to experiment. It's the fermentation phase that's a problem for me cos I can't control the temperature too well. However if the lagering makes up for some of...
I decided to attempt my first lager (BIAB). Just a clean pilsner - 100% pilsner malt and saaz, that's it. Saflager W 34/70.

@Tobor_8thMan thanks for the...

@toboR That's a...

That's cool! I love the screw tops as well..really convenient and they actually keep the beer good for the time it takes you to drink half the bottle and the pour out the other half..
Great to know there are other PET bottlers out there....or at least that it's not a complete taboo! This batch as well...whatever souring happened, happened in the fermenter and not in the bottles. I'm pretty thorough with sanitizing bottles..unfortunately no StarSan where I am but I use...
