Help, I think I've got 9 gallons of diacetyl IPA..

Another thing worth mentioning though... I didn't know what the off flavor was when I first tasted it. I had my wife try it and she said "It kind of tastes like popcorn" and then it hit me like a ton of bricks that the flavor was butter and there was no mistaking it. So if you're not sure it's a...

Help, I think I've got 9 gallons of diacetyl IPA..

I brewed a Blonde Ale a few months back and had a really strong butter flavor after I kegged it. I waited a few more weeks with the keg in the fridge and tried it again and it was about the same. I set it back at room temp and waited a couple weeks and the taste got worse. I ended up making a...

Great Lakes Hops, or High Hops for ordering hop crowns

I bought 2 crowns from Great Lakes and they're both doing great. I would highly recommend.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

For anyone who brewed this using all citra hops, what hop schedule did you use and what would you do differently?

Most different hop you have to grow

I'm growing vojvodina right now which I had never even heard of until this year and I have yet to see a beer with it. I have that and a nugget growing and it's about 7ft tall which is twice the size of my nugget.

    New brewing fool in Kentucky.

Hah, I guess we need to start up a LAGERS 30 & under group. I'm always up for meeting up for beers somewhere and if you guys aren't serial killers I can always host a brew day at my house. I do all grain 4-5 hour brew days.

I went to a couple meetings but to be honest, everyone was quite a bit older than me and I didn't really mesh. I'm 28, I was probably 24 or so when I went. Nice people, same with the FOSSILS over in Indiana but not really my age group.

Welcome! Louisville is definitely full of homebrewers, not a lot on this site though.

Hops getting too much water or something else?

Yea, that'd be my guess. Hopefully all the rain has washed most of the nitrogen away and they'll be ok. You can try overwatering a bit for 2-3 days to help flush it out, then go back to normal watering and see how it does. Go easy on the fertilizer, I rarely use any on mine, just need some...
