Checked black IPA gravity, nearly there so will give it a few more days.
Cracked open a few bottles of the 1 gallon IPA batch I did a while back, decent and strong. Got that warm fuzzy feeling after 1 and a half bottles :)
Birthday this Sunday and a week booked off work
A few days away but will do BIAB pale of some description on Monday, using RO water for first time

Kegged first brew from Fermzilla using closed transfer
Foamed up a few times so need to get a bit more practice in with PSI levels etc but went ok I think.
Partial APA and taste was good so fingers crossed
Attached spunding valve earlier so shall see how it goes, fermenting about a week.
Dry hopped using collection vessel at bottom but in my haste forgot to apply Co2 to purge it and opened butterfly valve to add hops :(
Also, only came to me later in my infinite wisdom that I should have filled both equally and topped up with water, might have lessened strength but would have given 2 gallons instead of putting all my eggs in one basket, so to speak
Just did a 1 gallon batch IPA, OG 1070.
Dry pitched half pack US05 and 20 mins or so later it's bubbling away.
Never seen that before but no idea if I should be worried
I assume they're some form of oxidisation occurring but are they unsafe or risky for you beer?
Usually put IC in for last 15 mins of boil to sanitise it but noticed those earlier and wasn't sure about them
I'm going to try dry hopping using the collection vessel, flush it with Co2 and open butterfly valve to mix into the wort. Others seem to have had success with that method
