    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

Think it has anything to do with the White Labs fiasco?

    Fruit Puree and gravity

So, of course this begins with a mistake I made: forgetting to record a final gravity before adding fruit to a kettle sour. Oh yeah, and brewing notes blew away in the wind at the end of the brew, so I also have that going for me. SG was around 1.052, FG was supposed to be 1.013. I...

    What’s wrong with her?!

Are female homebrewers really this rare?! They can't be; I know plenty of female pro brewers. I knew this was kind of a boys club but this thread is crazy. *I* got my husband into homebrewing a few years ago and now we both brew together as well as on our own stuff. I took him on our first...

    Hampton NH water report?

In case anyone else is looking, here’s what I came up with: Ca2/80 Mg2/5 SO4/80 NA/25 Cl/75 HCO3/100 I don’t know the accuracy of this, but it came from Someone at Smurttynose. Cheers!

Brewer's Friend: creating new recipes/numbers don't make sense

That's why i felt so stupid; the explanation didn't make sense either. Those sizes are already entered whenever I create a recipe, which made me think I was really missing something. It feels counter-intuitive to select a 5 gallon 'into the fermentor' size and have trub/grain/boil off come off...

Brewer's Friend: creating new recipes/numbers don't make sense

Not that I can see. It has a dropdown menu for mash types but not boil.

Brewer's Friend: creating new recipes/numbers don't make sense

I'm entering a clone recipe into Brewer's Friend for a 5 gal all grain batch. So, my target going into the fermentor is set to 5 gallons. This automatically calculates a boil size of 4.25 gallons. Why, oh why, is my boil size lower that my fermentor size? What am I missing here?

    Massachusetts 7gal Chronical for sale

Hi- is the temp controller included or would I need to buy one seperately? Thank you!

    Brewmasters Warehouse

That is sad to hear, but I'm so glad you posted this so we can all know the deal. Obviously that means that my order from January isn't ever going to ship, so what do you think I (and others in the same boat) do about getting a refund? Hopefully the website gets taken down soon; I just now...

Am I sitting on a batch of potential bottle bombs?

Sooo.. We just bottled a porter that, in hindsight, is almost certainly underfermented. The wort was barely aerated and the yeast (wyeast 1187) was a smack pack that didn't inflate. The lag time was long- 2 days until we saw any signs, then chugged along alright for 3 or 4 days, racked to...
