Which tap is better? Nuka or Taprite?

I'll vouch for the nukataps. Have one, need to replace my other 2 faucets.

    Foam. Yikes.

Just an update incase anyone ever runs into this... Solved the foaming issue. The flange at the top of the dip tube was slightly bent. I straightened it out, replaced w/ new o-ring.. and no more foam for the ESB. Cheers!

    Foam. Yikes.

most of the tubing stayed in the keezer, but I did dip about 2 inches of tubing into hot water to get the barb on. maybe I need to wait a day or 2 and hope it just balances out.

    Foam. Yikes.

Had a small leak around the quick disconnect of my keg. I figured it was the post (after swapping disconnects) so I de-pressurized , unscrewed post, checked fittings, put keg lube on o-rings. Still leaking. Came to realize it WAS the disconnect, but where the QD screws on the to the barb. So...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

That would work since anvil diameter is 12.5 (says up to 19) but I’d buy a Wilser bag instead.

Shout out to Windsor Homebrew for all the OC folks

Definitely a great LHBS. I go to the one in Anaheim, across from Bottle Logic.

I was thinking about this too. My PH meter is unreliable so what I usually do is plug in the recipe using Beersmith and then use the Brew N Water model for lactic acid addition. I did not do that this time, just kind of winged it since using filtered tap water (my idea was that this was going to...

Sparged for about 20-30 min using the 3 gallons of water... I do use Beersmith but I've been hesitant to commit to an efficiency since my previous BIABs were on the low end, and this one was completely off. Previously I was getting high 60s to low 70s using the Anvil malt pipe before I switched...

Makes sense regarding LHBS. I think I will eventually invest in a mill, but purchase the grain through them. They really are a great resource and I just don't have the space to store a variety of malts (unless I build a shed for the backyard).

hah you make a good point. will do a saison and ferment warm so I dont have to use the Ferm fridge. I'll post my results w/ the dunk sparge!

Thanks, this is the most succinct explanation of a dunk sparge I’ve seen. Will be trying this next brew!

Hah, yeah , glad to have a resource like this I can turn to. Will def try the dunk sparge. Too bad I have to sit and ponder this for 2 weeks waiting for my 3.5% ABV beer to ferment lol

Ah, got it..I don't use flaked corn very often. Just on a couple of specific styles , like this common and a cream ale. thats an interesting idea though.
