Thanks for the reply about the outside hookup. One additional question: Would occasional use of an to system be a problem? I would plan to store it in my garage and hook it up outside once a month when I brew.

I tried gorilla glue this weekend. Seems to be holding. If it comes off again I'll try caulk or the construction adhesive. I did put waaaay too much gorilla glue in and had a big mess.
The bottom came off one of my kegs. Any ideas how to repair this? Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone recommend an adhesive to use? It looks there is some residual adhesive left on the rubber part. Any idea what to use to remove that before I apply new adhesive.
Thanks!
If you had a kettle with an electric heating element and a controller, you could set it to maintain a temperature so that it would be ready in the morning. I have never tried this. I would be a little concerned about leaving it unattended over night.
Sometimes mostly off flavors due to fermenting warm. Sometimes actually really good. Tasted a London ESB starter on Friday and it was quite good. Main reason I taste is to make sure the starter isn't contaminated before pitching. Can also tell if the yeast didn't do anything if it tastes too...
I have just the mash controller. It works pretty good. It took a while to get it setup and tune in, but now it is working great.

I have been using clarity ferm for about the last 6 months. The beers have turned out fine. My IIPA brewed with it even won a few first places. I haven't noticed the beers to be any clearer though. I don't have a gluten allergy, but just trying to eliminate it as I have gone Paleo.
I'm an early morning brewer too! I usually get going around 5:30 am to 6:00 am. It gives me some time to get going before the kids wake up and I'm done by mid afternoon and still have time to do stuff with my family.
