I just had a leak. I thought it would be around the ball lock fittings or something but nope, it was the CO2 regulator's gasket. spray starsan or soapy water all over the place when it's charged and look for bubbles.
Congratulations on both the pot and your bride to be. I just bought a spike brewing 80 qt pot. They are essentially the concords but at Spike, they TIG weld couplers into them. Very sturdy pots and like your bride to be, its good for life!
Interesting. Thanks for the reply. Why do the rests with different amounts of water? Why so thick for dough in and protein?

I have a 20 gal (13 gal batch size) brew rig. I use a Blichmann tower of power unit to control my direct fired recirculating mash tun setup.
I am going to try my first batch of multi-step for a Belgian wit and although I have the basic concept of stepping, I'd like to get some pointers/tips...
I recently bought a set of the 80 qt kettles (one for my mash tun the other for my boil kettle).
I'm talking uber quality, welds are well finished and the pots are high quality (its a concord pot but a little taller than the stock concord 80 qt).
Very happy. My conical fermenter will be...

where the question was "how long do I leave my wort in the kettle before transferring to fermenter?" Trub settles out fairly quickly when you're using a chiller inside the kettle.
My question is, how might...
Just looking at the image it doesn't seem like you have a very large flame going. have you tried to adjust the air intake disk? I usually have my disk all the way open and turn the gas up pretty high. I get much larger flames than what I'm seeing in your picture. You have to play with the amount...
I was testing out my new Ruby Street brewing system today and just used water with some PBW to clean out the pumps and therminator. I started to wonder if after my brew day and cleaning part afterwards, do I need to purge the water from the pumps and therminator? Also, would PBW left in contact...
I'm really liking this Ruby Street system so far. You can see also where I put my Blichmann terminator (behind boil kettle on the very right). They make brackets for it to mount just about anywhere.
