I'm moving and getting out of the brewing game and looking to sell my 4-tap keezer, 4 ball-lock kegs, CO2 tank, gas manifolds, and misc. brewing accessories. Two kegs were purchased used and two were purchased as new in 2015. The rest of the equipment was purchased new in 2014/2015. If you're...

Thanks for the replies. I had enough room with a little to spare. The rackers site is right on.

    Mash Tun Volume

Question about mash tun volume: I'm brewing an imperial stout tomorrow and will be using more grain (23.5lb) than ever before so I need to make sure I have enough room to mash. I have a 48 quart rectangular cooler and will be using 31 quarts of strike water. I just did a test with grain...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

I brewed this beer pretty much exactly per the original post recipe 2 weeks ago and my OG was 1.064. I just checked it yesterday and the gravity read 1.000! I'm really happy with how it turned it, it takes and smells exactly how I think a saison should. Many thanks to the OP. One question...

    Excess wort/long boil time

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes batch sparging. I was boiling off at about 1 gallon per hour which is normal from what I've heard. Yea more caramel flavor makes sense, we'll see! I'm wondering if the boil off was necessary to get to the original gravity? I assume I collected more sugars...

    Excess wort/long boil time

i just brewed my first all grain batch on saturday. i had an issue with the volume of wort that i think was caused by a lot less absorption than expected during the mash (and probably a miscalculation). after the mash with 5 gallons i double sparged with 2.5 gallons each time. i ended up with...
