I’ve tried this above without much luck using a regular sized spider. I ended up using the COFI filter one time for a massive whirlpool addition. It worked well to keep away clogging, but was a real nightmare trying to clean it after.
Been awhile since I viewed this thread. Saw the post above, and just reread To kill a mockingbird as the play is coming to town here. Yeah, the language is bad, but have to remember the timeframe of the story and when it was written. Still a good book.

Got called into a meeting and had to come to Chicago. Had been told to get some “Hop Butcher” beers but their location seems to be closed. Supposedly I can buy their beers per their website even though the taproom is closed.

It's for a typical 5G batch.
It'll truly hold just under 7 to ferment. In a batch I did recently I filed a 5G keg & an almost full 1G keg when I made a slightly larger batch.
