Bigfoot Barleywine 2024. I picked up my sixer yesterday. One is getting drank now, and the rest go down for a while. This year is surprisingly drinkable fresh. It has IPA bitterness and hop flavor, but still is big and malty. It hides the size and isn’t as heavy as you’d expect. This will still...
All the Homebrew at the moment is barleywine and imperial stout, so I’m going through the archives to go through other things I have.
2021 Anchor Christmas Ale with the Joshua Tree on the label. It holds up nicely as a porter and the spicing is subtle. Like the vintages of the Bigfoot that I...
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine 2022. It’s 2 years old now and I find this is about perfect for most vintages. It’s round and full but still has bitterness. As it gets older, the hops drop out more and it gets maltier and sweeter. It’s really good. Now I need to compare it to my barleywine that...

The cascade will get picked this weekend.
This will be in several post over a few weeks since my hops all flowered at different times. One of my Chinook flowered early and some of the flowers are starting to brown so I can’t wait for the other plant. I wanted to do it last weekend but scheduling didn’t work.
I picked about half of the...
I use it in most of my stouts. About 20% in a dry Irish stout, around 8% in my American and Imperial stouts. I’ll add it to my Barleywines to keep a bit of body and chewiness while using the rest of the dials to dry it out
