    Alright so I'm driving back to cali from chicago. And I got a batch of a black ipa and a stout I wanna bring with. So my main question is if I keg those beers right before I leave and purge the oxygen will they be ok? I realize ill be driving over 30 hours and idk what the temps will be like but...

    old washed yeast has a big brown band in starter

    im using some washed wyeast american ale thats probably around 4 months old and has been sitting in my fridge. Let it sit on the stir plate for 48 hours. No signs of activity for about 24 hrs as with the other washed yeast ive used. Its going strong right now but there is more of a brown band...

    it had a lot of mango and fruity flavors going into the bottle, very similar of dreadnaught. but idk what happened and it was super over carbonated so it kinda threw everything off since i wasnt really able to age it for a lil. i'll definitely try this one again now that im doing all grain...
