Born Brewing Co. will be brewing Wiezenbier tonight pitching White Labs Hefewiezen yeast. Currently have a Red Ale in secondary that will be ready for bottling in 7-10. Have a great weekend! :cool:
I threw yeast (whitelabs) and capped last Friday on a Red Ale. The airlock bubbled like crazy for about 24 hours (late Saturday to Sunday). Since then there has been no action in the airlock. My OG was 1.040, I tested it yesterday and it is 1.020. I tasted what I had in the hydrometer tube...

Just curious...How come you brew the Oktoberfest beer in March? Are you aging it until October? Of course there's nothing wrong with drinking the Oktoberfest all year. I figure I would brew an Oktoberfest ale in mid-late August. Thanks. Cheers! :)

I pitched yeast and capped fermenter on a Red Ale last night (Fri. at 9:00pm). Currently, there is no sign of action in the air-lock (Sat. 2:30pm). When can I expect to see a bubbling air-lock. Fermenter is at 69-70 deg. Thanks in advance for insight!
