So I haven't done anything with this for a month. It is still pretty cloudy. Probably leave it alone for another month.

This summer has been a very busy one. I have not gotten back around to work with the coffee mead or the blood orange. My wife is going out of town this weekend, so I should have time. I need to get my measurements on the stabilizing compounds, and get the back sweetening solutions ready.

I see that this hasn't been updated in a while. I am curious as to the current status, or if there was an outcome that would change, or modify, the addition on the teas to this mead ?? I have come into a large stock pile of Teavana bulk teas and would like to try a version of this one. I have...

So I may have broken the JAOM laws. But I decided to add another half gallon water to the fermenting mead. After thinking about what Dan said, I figured it would help somewhat. I also stirred the mead after adding the water too.

I followed the base recipe for JAOM. The slight changes I made were ..... - peeled the oranges for just the skin, leaving the pith behind. - removed the pith from around the segments. - separate and squeeze orange segments. The rest of the recipe had 125 raisins, 19gr. Cinnamon sticks, 15gr...

5 gallons JAOM 204.7 + 5 = 209.7

So it has been 8 weeks since I made the JOAM. I had put it away, in my wine cellar. I saw it last night and noticed that it looked amazingly clear. So I poured a sample. All I can say is AMAZING !!!!!!! I racked it into a clean gallon jug, to get rid of all the fruit. I will see how it cleared...

I finally got all these racked. Just waiting now.
