    Fermentrack weird cooling

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you nailed it, the probe was inadequately insulated. Sorted it now and everything is rock solid. Cheers!

    Fermentrack weird cooling

Hi all, I've got Fermentrack running on an ESP8266 and the cooler kicks in periodically when it doesn't seem needed. Any ideas? Cheers.

Great, thanks Lee. What's the easiest way to do that?

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Hi Lee, I've finally got BLR up and running on wifi, via a wemos d1 mini ESP8266 board. All seems to work, but when there is a power outage, the arduino loses installed devices. Does this have something to do with serial settings in BrewPiUtil.py? I followed a combination of Mattrox, day_trippr...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Yes, agree about the voltage divider. I'll do some more playing. On the ESP-link troubleshooting page the guy suggests using a 1k resistor for rx, I assume in series. I'm thinking maybe the 2.0.4 version picked up earlier might have been on the ESP, not the Uno, cos I was playing around with...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Hi Lee, Good news, it's working! I rewired, reloaded everything from scratch, and still couldn't get any joy. After much pulling out of hair, I read somewhere that some D1 minis can work on 5v for Rx, even though officially it should be 3.3v. In desperation I got rid of the voltage divider from...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Thanks so much again, Lee. I've had the original brewpi running for years on old laptops, and recently updated to your BPR to get over the end of php5 issue with Stretch, and it's a breeze to install. I'm new to ESPs, and I'm not sure I've got the ESP and arduino wired up correctly. Much of the...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Thanks again, Lee. I'm a bit out of my depth here... I've re-installed BPR and got it working on a UNO very easily, flashed with 0.2.11 via serial. (Just to rule out the nano). It then won't perform via esp link and the D1 mini. So I'm going to check the D1 side of things.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Thanks for the reply, Lee. Logs show the controller is running 0.2.4! Having troubles flashing 0.2.11 at the moment, but this could be the problem? BPR is 0.5.2.0

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Hi there. Loving Brewpi Remix! I've got two chambers chugging away via usb on a Debian laptop and just trying to add one with wifi, across the room. Testing on a test system. I'm running Debian Stretch on a laptop, and everything works fine with arduino nano plugged into usb, but having trouble...
