Advice on buying a grain mill

A couple of years ago, I did my homework before before purchasing and ended up with a Monster MM2-2.0 (now called MM-2Pro). The BC of CK may have worked well enough for me, but I would rather buy it once and not have to worry about it in the future. The Monster mills are top notch.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Same here. Dropped the serving pressure from 12-13 to about 9 and the pours are great. Installed the meters about 2 feet from the kegs.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I saw this happen when I was first setting up v2. I had turned flow meters on but didn't enter a "pin" number when tapping the keg. I think that was the scenario that caused what you're describing.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I'm using the 5V0 supply on the alamode to power mine with no issues. You should be fine.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Probably, but I'm not really planning to use a 55" tv for my RPints display. ;)

It should work just fine. Here's our plasma tv displaying my tap list.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Sure, the meters can share power and ground. I chose to leave the long cables and 3 pin connectors on my meters intact and build a small board for the interface that plugs directly into the alamode. There's a pic I posted a few pages back. Edit: Post #126.

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

Very nice!! Built this Arduino shield like flow meter interface on a small piece of vector board for my modest two tap kegerator. Had a couple of the adafruit style Hall effect sensors hooked up at the time for some testing.

    First smash

IMHO, just leave it in the primary. From my experience, two, three, even four weeks is fine. Even though the vigorous part of fermentation appears to be done, the yeast need time to clean up and the beer will end up better if it sits on the yeast cake longer. The fact that you saw a drop in the...

    My Camping Kegerator

    Nice..... I really like it.

What should I do with all these hops?

Use the Summit for bittering if you're concerned about onion/garlic flavor some seem to get when using them late in the boil. I've used them at flameout and got nothing but orange/ tangerine aroma. I'd pair the El Dorado with a spicy or piney variety like Simcoe or Chinook. Sent from my...

How do you keep keg from clogging from unfiltering and huge dry hops?

I dry hop with pellets dumped straight into the primary, rack at room temp into the keg, then into the kegerator to chill and carb. Depending on how cloudy the beer was going into the keg, the first pint or two might be pretty chunky, but nothing that would plug the pick up tube. Sent from my...

    First smash

What yeast are you using and did you hydrate or prepare a starter? Did you aerate the wort? I have had batches take 48 hours or more before the airlock is actively bubbling. RDWHAHB

What wort pump is everyone using?

    SS Chugger.

    Sterilizing procedures for dry hopping

++1... My beer got much better once I quit using the secondary fermenter. Oxidation was probably the reason. When dry hopping I just dump the pellets into the primary after fermentation has slowed, usually around the 1 week to 10 day mark.
