Hello all, I'm currently 3 weeks into a batch of blackberry wine from homegrown blackberries. it looks as if its almost done fermenting as sg is very low.
I'd like some information on using egg whites to for clarification. how much egg white per gallon? how much salt? Is this recommended?

My recipe was much simpler. I just used 6 welches grape cocktail (wasn't suppose to be the cocktail) concentrate, 5 pounds sugar, and 1 package of red wine yeast (don't know what kind).
OG was 1.070 and today I got curious and it was 1.050. That reading might be off because it was still...
I've recently made the same mistake. How did the batch turn out? Mine seems to be fermenting just fine, but then again i'm only a week into the ferment.
Good luck keeping your hand off it for a month! I'm not disciplined enough to let mine sit that long without at least trying a bottle a week. Congrats on a successful brew.
Ok, so I've got a fifty dollar gift certificate to Amazon and I figured I'd get a beer kit with it. I've done one brew so far with a mr. Beer, but I have everything I need to make a 5-10 gallon batch except the ingredients. I like flavorful beers- and something hoppy. What should I get?
I just brewed my first batch of beer ever with Mr. Beer 3 weeks ago. It's the West Coast Pale Ale. I went ahead and added hops to it. I used an ounce of Golding palletized hops. I boiled 1/2 oz for 30 min. And added the other 1/2 oz 5 min before ending the boil. Since it's only a 2 gallon batch...
