Just curious if anyone has tried or has thoughts on adding some hops to an already tapped keg. I have a keg of bass clone that tastes really good but I am not happy with the smell. It is a little sweet smelling, which is throwing off the beer so I was thinking if cracking the keg open for a...
You can do five gallon batches. I live in a 600 sq ft apartment with my girlfriend , my dog , and a cat and I brew 5 gallon batches. Shoot most of the time I have multiple brews going at once. When you get down to it the space savings you will gain by going with 2-3 gallon batches will be...
My first question is what is the gravity reading now? Did you go by that extract recipe u posted in the link ? If so u can guess what the og was based on that recipe and then look at the sg now and make some decisions . That recipe says og of around 1.053 so unless u messed something up or the...
Let it go to three weeks mark check the gravity for any changes and then bottle. That way when you get it all carbed up it wont still be super green. Resist the urge to jump the gun.

I am currently attending San Francisco State majoring in History, just finishing my last semester. Seems as if age was also on the topic so I will add that I am 25 years young. Doesn't seem like there are too many on the site, wonder how these numbers would compare to a question on how many...
It will be fine. If you used the same amount as if you were bottling it will be overcarbed however with the keg you can blow off the pressure and get it down to proper carb levels.
I have a question on the freezer for this model. Has anyone encountered dripping from the freezer after the compartment is removed. I have a decent amount of frozen spikes on mine and it seems whenever the fridge is opened multiple times to grab beer they melt and produce alot of h20 in the...
I have the new style model with two pin lock cornies in it, it is very tight and required cutting of the plastic for the door, and even with that it barley fits.
If it makes you feel better broke my first hydrometer taking it out of the package, slipped right out of my hand and boom, had to send someone to get me an new one because I already started brewing.
