    Mint (anti-aphid)

I container-grow mint and it tries to grow out of the pot, down to the soil, and spread around the container. Stubborn SOB

    Hops and Dogs

Has anybody had an issue with this? Is the reaction exaggerated (sure death upon ingestion?)? Has anybody's dogs shown an interest in their hops? I guess it isn't an issue if they don't even want to eat them, but I'm a bit worried. Do the dog owner/growers out there do anything to block...

    Highly Recommend Great Lakes Hops

I used them for my indoor grow. Very healthy plants, and they really take off right away.

Hops in Minnesota - if you could only grow 2

Two cascades. I love IPAs and they're good for any stage of the brew, plus they're pretty hard to screw up and you get big yields.

    100% homegrown

A solution for the aphids would be to buy a big ass box of ladybugs and release them. 15 bucks for 1,500 bugs in my area. They'll take care of those aphids without damaging the plants.

Using mirrors for extra sunlight. Think it'll work?

Mylar doesn't need anything behind it, and its pretty durable.

Using mirrors for extra sunlight. Think it'll work?

Mylar is much more reflective, cheap, and wont shatter!

    Growing Hops From Seed?

People seem very down on seeds, but if you know what strain the seed is and how to tell the difference between the males and females (and pull those pesky males before they knock your girls up!), then I don't see why it would be a problem. Let us know how it goes!

    Successfully Growing Indoors

And now for the conclusion: While they flowered fast and seemed very happy, the tangled canopy, which is what allowed them to grow indoors, is precisely why my harvest was disappointing. Without the ability to pick through and find mature cones day-by-day and allow for a full season of harvest...
