    A little overwhelmed

    Oh man, I've been there! Lots of good advice in this thread... I'd just add that asking lots of dumb questions (especially around other brewers) is the fastest way to learn. Better to ask than to get really frustrated as your brew day turns ugly.

    Hello from Seattle

    Thanks! I've been to the Cellar - good place, nice people. I've also really liked Sound Homebrew down in Georgetown (it's closer to where I work). I live in Ballard, which is quickly becoming the nano-brewery capital of the world!
