This is what I would really like to have. Don't know where I would even go to find them to see if they would fit or where a good place to order them would be. Brass would definitely be idea, any suggestions?
I've considered that and I've also considered possibly using leather to hide whatever ugly compromise I come up with, but the question still remains of how to physically attach the pipe to the fridge.
I have a friend that is a pipe fitter who hooked me up with a good length piece of 3" copper pipe. I'm hoping to patina the copper and put a brass faucet on it. I've already got the faucet, but need a flange and cap for the pipe. I initially intended on using PVC, but the ID on the cap and...
I had that problem. Got my kegerator hooked up for the first time and was so excited I left Co2 on and didn't check for leaks. 2 days later 20lbs tank was EMPTY. Got it refilled and went over EVERY connection with soapy water, found a ton of leaks that I couldn't hear/feel, but the soapy...
Where do you get weatherstripping for the doors? And with the freezer being where the cooling comes from would a small AC fan hooked in where the light bulb was help with a constant temp all around the fridge?
Many thanks for all the great advice. I will run to the hardware store tomorrow for something a little beefier. Can't wait to tap my first keg once it finishes carbing.
What is the distinct odor? I feel like all CO2 I've dealt with had a "garage" smell... I don't know how to describe it, but it definitely has a scent. Maybe similar to ozone?
I acquired a 1940's(as best as I can tell) Philco refrigerator and so far I have gutted the shelves, pounded out some dents, bent the coiles that were in the shelves up against the back wall and put in 2 taps in the doors. About to sand and bondo the outside and hopefully give it a nice...
Well I thought I'd be aging it for months in the barrel and figured a good share would evaporate. When a full bourbon barrel gets opened after aging in a storehouse over 50% has evaporated so I didn't know if I'd have that issue with evaporation through the wood. I was most definitely over...
My friend got one of these as a gift

And now has a barrel that he wants me to age some beer in. Any thoughts on what might go well in here? I've had bourbon porters, but nothing else...
