I have been wondering what it would be like to condition a beer in a barrel other than an oak one. for example maple, rosewood, etc. Anybody ever try this?

We have a brewry in an old church in campbellford. churchkey brewry.. good beer to bad I can only get one kind from them at the lcbo. they have a awesome smoked beer.

another effective but kind of off the wall method I will tell you is to completely sterilize the soil. once its dried out put it on a tray or somthing and throw it in the oven around the 300F range for a about 10 min per tray, but keep in mind that this kills off both good and bad bacteria and...
