Business trip planned for these two destinations. Lakewood (Tampa) FL. And Santa Ana, CA.
Other than Cigar city, I have no clue where to go. Need my fellow brewers to help make the most of my travel time. And go!
My 5th shot at this. Personally, I prefer to bitter w motueka and finish with a little galaxy. This time, I tried my first attempt at a hop stand/whirlpool. Missed gravity by way too much. Ended at 1.052. I became preoccupied during the sparge and added too much. Had no DME on hand to make up...
A little centennial at the start of the boil for me. Mix in galaxy and citra for the rest of the boil and dry hop with both as well. Gives it a better bite imo.
I do my own version with citra, centennial and galaxy. My favorite. Haven't changed it since
I've done this recipe to a T, 3 times in a row. This past time, my 4th. My og hit 1.052. I usually am right at 1.068-.71. I did, however go to a new brew store because I moved to another side of town. Same malt bill and everything. I'm wondering if the grain at this new place could have made...
I want to thank EVERYONE for their help. Everything settled out after I froze it a bit on accident haha. But, now we're at 38 degrees and 10 psi. The Belgian IPA tastes smooth and pouring great
Lol no cat piss. I LOVE this grain bill. But, I like to play around with the hops. My lhbs has their own clone of zd, named the walking dead. They use citra and centennial. My last batch I used citra centennial and galaxy. And I love it
One more question. And I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this. Damm, I've been reading up on this kegging thing for the past two months solid. Apparently EVERYTHING with brewing is trial and error haha. But, anyways. Now that it's heavily carbonated. I should just let it settle. Keep it at...
Thanks everyone. Running 10ft or more line would make my kegerator a jungle. Fortunately, I was able to get the temp below 40 which has calmed it down a bit. For the future. No more shaking! I have 6 feet of line in there right now with a tap tower above.
Ok. Status update. Cleaned everything. Cold crashed at 39 degrees for a day straight. Racked into the keg. Forced carbed at 30 psi while agitating it for about 5 minutes, turned down to 10 psi. Tried it out today, annnnd foam. Wasting about half the beer, if not more. I've been reading ALL these...
