    I had 2nd krausen appear at 2-3 week mark too. I wasn't sure if I should bottle it or not. I ended up moving it to secondary for a week and it cleared right up.

    Takes forever to get going and has huge Krausen. I had a 1/3 of the Carboy in headspace and thought I didn't need a blow off tube. That was a mistake. Looked like a volcano erupted:) Produces delicious and slightly sour fruit flavours in the mid 60's.

    New Krausen appeared in my primary. Also used WLP400 and wondering if it's common with this yeast?

    The change is temps are not ideal but better than having it ferment in the 30s or 40s. I have brewed the 565 a few times and never had it over 75 so I think the lowed temps of 65 should be fine. Might not have the spicy phenolic flavours that are thrown off with higher temps but a tasty brew...

    Made this yesterday and still waiting for the WLP400 to wake up and get to work. Made a 1litre starter and still no sign of fermentation at 36 hour mark. Patiently waiting for signs of life. The starter smelled fantastic and I am already looking forward to the beer this yeast is going to make.

    Fermented WLP029 at 57-60 for 4 days them free rise to about 66 for 2 weeks. Hydro sample taste like banana juice. Any one else have this with 029? Will it mellow out with age?

    Just tasted my hydro sample. Total Banana flavor. Fermented at about 58-60 for 4 days. 65 for a 2 weeks. Still in Primary. Any or have same experience with WLP029? Very sterile environment. Infection not likely but possible I guess. Will it dissipate as it ages? Tks
