    I don't use the mr beer yeast in my normal brews. I use it for smaller trial batches. I feel it's not the same quality.

    I just did one packet for a 5 gal. Figured that was about right.

    I just used notty in my last batch. I used a carboy hood with a blow off tube thinking it would blow over. Didn't quite make it that far. Better safe than sorry though.

    Brand new in SW Michigan.

    I've been interested in brewing for a few years now. I finally got around to buying a mr beer kit. I also bought a 6 gal carboy for later use. I'm really excited to start up this hobby. Tomorrow I'm gonna fire up the mr beer kit and get some brown ale brewing!
