so, i'm drinking sugar washes recently. i know, i know...low brow.

but besides my reversion to something a teenager would be excited to drink, let's get real about calorie counting.....lol

so i ferment 12lbs sugar in ~9 gallons water just eyeballed really.

thanks to recent thread, i know 1 mol glucose creates 2 mols both co2 and ethanol...ethanol is 46g a mol, not sure if the co2 really matters.

sucrose has two mols of 'sugar' i don't even think the difference between glucose and fructose mol weight would be significant to me.

so all this is rounded a bit but i get for ~5.44kg table sugar at 4 calories a gram 21,800 calories...and then fermented to ethanol at 7 calories a gram, i get 20,475..maximum possible calories?

the reason i want someone to double check me, is it doesn't matter how much sugar water i start off with. as long as i top off the kegs when full, i'm looking for a constant i can plan around...

if any of this makes sense...i've only been drink this sugar wash stuff for a couple months but the scale is acting up, both lower higher...i need a firm number so i can get in formation and keep it conforming to my will....

(if a mod wants to move this to drunken rambling, fine...but i thought it at least had a bit of a thoughtful serious tone for general chit-chat...lol)
