- Tasting Notes
- Tasting at bottling, hoppy by very drinkable, the citra hops flavor came through very
5 lb of Amber LME
1.25 Lb Crystal 40L steep at 155 for 20 minutes
.75 oz Tettnager whole leaf @ 60 min
1.20 oz Citra pellet @ 30
1.25 oz Citra pellet @ 15
Boil 2.5 gallons, add about ¼ of the LME at boil and rest at flame out
This is a beer I did for a friend who loves hoppy beer. She would eat hops right out of the bag if she could. I made a one gallon test batch and was surprised it was actually drinkable and I am not much of an IPA fan. This recipe is scaled it up to 2.5 gallon which I will doing after I do a bottle tasting.
