Avery is one of my favorite local breweries - they publish homebrew recipes for some of their brews including their IPA. This is my first non-kit brew - looking for some feedback.

Here is what Avery says:
OG: 1.058
AE: 1.009

Grist:
Pale 2-Row – 94%
Munich – 4%
C-120 – 2%

Hops:
60 min – Columbus (13.9% AA) – 0.24oz
30 min – Columbus (13.9% AA) – 0.27oz
0 min – Cascade (6.9% AA) – 1.64oz
0 min – Centennial (9.5% AA) – 1.64oz
0 min – Chinook (11.4% AA) – 1.64oz

Yeast – California Ferm Temp – 68F

They have three hop additions at zero minutes - presumably with a whirlpool. I'm not equipped to do that, so was going to do a late addition and use Beersmith to get to around 69 IBUs. I came up with two options.

Option 1 is closer to the recipe, but uses more hops:
10.5 lbs 2-row
8 oz Munich Malt
4 oz Caramel/Crystal 120

0.3 oz Columbus 14% Boil 60 min
0.25 oz Columbus 14% Boil 30 min
1.5 oz Cascade 6.9% Boil 7 min
1.5 oz Centennial 10% Boil 7 min
1.5 oz Chinook 13% Boil 7 min
IBU: 70.7

Option 2 gets the same IBUs and uses a whole number of hops (no leftovers). I did find this recipe on Beersmith or another recipe site - the grain bill is the same as my calcs (option 1)
10.5 lbs 2-row
8 oz Munich Malt
4 oz Caramel/Crystal 120

0.5 oz Columbus 14% Boil 60 min
0.5 oz Columbus 14% Boil 30 min
1.0 oz Cascade 6.9% Boil 5 min
1.0 oz Centennial 10% Boil 5 min
1.0 oz Chinook 13% Boil 5 min
IBU: 68.5

I would just increase the 60 and 30 min additions until you get your IBU # on brewsmith.
Then at flameout do an ounce or so, and then dry hop with the other 3.5+ ounces.
Just my opinion.
