FOR SALE: 240V 4500-watt electric keggle.
Years ago I bought this custom-welded keggle from venerable Portland LHBS FH Steinbart. I added a 3-part ball valve, false bottom, 4500W ultra-low watt density element, and element enclosure. This keggle served me well for about 10 years of brewing. I upgraded recently and no longer need it. Freshly cleaned and tested.
You’ll need some kind of controller that regulates heating once your brew reaches boil. Some electrical know-how can keep this pretty inexpensive, with parts from Auber Instruments, for example. A GFCI-protected circuit is also a very good idea.
Asking $150. Local pickup in Portland, Oregon metro area – I’m in Beaverton.
