Best yeast for extract brews

Just wondering if anyone had found that certain yeasts work better for extract brews than others?
 
I think the right yeast really depends much more on the style of beer you're brewing than on whether you're brewing extract or all grain. I agree about avoiding low attenuating strains (using extract already limits attenuation) but that doesn't necessarily mean you should avoid using an English yeast for an English ale.
