Perusing ebay, I came across this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Brand-New-Stainless-Steel-304-Counter-Pressure-Bottle-Filler-home-brew/321740752829?_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140620091559%26meid%3D83716670e38f405683092ba35f1b6735%26pid%3D100010%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D13%26sd%3D321741473780

Any thoughts? Looks similar to Blichmann's beer gun. Can anyone comment on the pros/cons of it? Looks like something we could probably put together for far cheaper than the $90 they want.

Looks like a standard counter-pressure bottle filler to me. These have been around since well before the Blichmann beer guns.

Pros: Cheaper than a Blichmann
Cons: more difficult to operate.

Yeah, you could probably build one for cheaper. Not sure how much cheaper, as stainless fittings tend to be pricey.

At that price, I'd just get the one from MoreBeer. http://www.morebeer.com/products/counter-pressure-bottle-filler.html?site_id=7

I am in the process of building my own version of that. The 3 way valves will end up being half the cost. It's really not worth the time to save just a few bucks.

Ya looks like a little bit of a difference than a regular counter pressure filler. I have a more beer one but I modified it with an air gun handle on the C02 side. I would sometimes swing the valve too far when I was done filling and blase C02 back into the bottle causing a pretty big foam over. I have seen ones without the main valve and just two smaller valves on the C02 in and out side. I personally like that design better.
