I was looking for something simple to do for a light summer beer and decided on Bluelinebrewer's Strawberry Blonde but I have a question regarding the recipe. It's an extract calling for LME but my LHBS doesn't tend to have a solid stock on the stuff. Can I do a simple pound for pound substitution of DME? For example does 1.5# Wheat LME = 1.5# Wheat DME?

Cheers.

...and multiply the DME by 1.25 to get the equivalent LME.

1.5 lbs Wheat LME = 1.2 lbs Wheat DME
1.25 lbs Wheat LME = 1 lbs Wheat DME
1 lb Wheat LME = .8 lbs Wheat DME
