Have been given a slim 1/4 keg and am thinking if turning it into a mash tun have read as much as I can find here and as far as I can figure out this will hold about 18 lbs of grain? Since all I have done so far is extract do not if this right in your opinion will be enough t do most beers thanks

I'd keep it either to serve out of, or for use as a fermenter, it isn't big enough for the size grainbill you mentioned.

Good luck,

Keyth

I second the fermenter. Remove the spear and you have yourself a fantastic stainless fermenter! You can use one of those orange carboy caps, fits pretty nicely on the top lip.
