I use a 6.5 gallon bottling bucket, with a bottling wand attached to the spigot. I suppose you could just use an auto-siphon with a clamp or a wand attached.
Pry top bottles, swing top bottles, amber PET bottles, belgian beer bottles.
Pop top beer bottles and get a bottle capper if you don't have one. If I'm in need of some extra bottles ill go to a local bar and ask if I can go threw there recycling bin or if they will save bottles for me while I'm there. Just make sure to clean and sanitize them
Two liter...and smaller...plastic soda bottles work just fine. I even re-use the screw-on cap. But keep the clear bottles OUT of the sunlight, or your beer will become "skunky." Soda is carbonated at a higher level than bottle-carbonated beer, so there is almost no problem of bottle explosion.
I buy my pry off top bottles at the grocery or liquor store. They can cost a little more sometimes but they come with free beer. That's always a plus for me.
Also a bottling wand is a must for me. Find Revvy's bottling tips sticky.
