My first big beer turned out amazing. Designed as an American Stout and doubt I could have done better on this one.

Hops:
Chinook 1oz 60min
Challenger .75oz 60min
Fuggles .5oz 5min

Grains:
Caramel 60L 1lb
Chocolate 8oz
Roasted Barley 3oz
Black Patent 3oz

Extract:
Amber LME 3.3lbs
Dark LME 3.3lbs

Other Fermentables:
Maple Syrup 4lbs
Brown Sugar 12oz

Yeast: Safale US-05 Rehydrated about an hour before pitching.

Steep grains at 155F for 30 min. Next dissolve both types of LME, bring to boil. Add Chinook and Challenger hops start time for 60min. At 15min till end of boil add brown sugar. Add Fuggles at 5 till then add maple syrup at 2 till. I threw in a whirlfloc tablet and 5 tsps of yeast nutrient with the maple syrup. I would say dont bother with this recipe if you dont use the nutrient.

Hook up a blowoff hose and wait. I left in the primary about 15 days the moved to the secondary to age for 6 weeks. Bottle with 3/4 cup corn sugar and wait 5 weeks. By far best beer I have ever made. Ended up at just over 9.5% with remarkable drinkability. Hope everyone can enjoy this recipe as much as I have! :tank:
