Hi I'm interested in experimenting with fruit flavoring. And was wondering what a good base beer would be

Any thoughts on how well a pilsner would work

Hmm, I don't know. Pilsners have a pretty distinct malt character and also are more on the more bitter side, I'm not sure if I'd like that with fruit. I think that's why I like American wheats as a base - not a lot of competition for the fruit. Or a blonde ale I think would be good too. Do you know any commercial examples?

No I'm next brew is goin to be a pilsner and was thinkin about pulling a small batch to the side during secondary and playing with some fruit flavors
