Probably a dumb question....
I have a keg of some of the best homebrew I've made. I will be going on vacation (driving to the beach) for a little more than a week and I want to bring some of it with me.
There's no place for the keg where I'm staying. I have bottling equipment. The beer is carbed perfectly in the keg and completely drinkable. No more fermenting.
Can I simply put the beer from the keg into bottles, cap them and leave them? Is there a better way to transport this beer so it will keep for a week or so? How long willl it keep in a growler (better idea?) with minimum headspace?
