Hi all,

We're looking to add a tap system to our bar (fraternity house). We have a large, walk-in fridge that is just behind the wall behind the bar that can be used to hold kegs. The idea is to be able to have refillable containers of mixed drinks that can be attached to a CO2 system, as well as normal kegs of beer that can be linked into the system. Where do we start?

Can we assume that you are wondering how to avoid carbonating your beverages? If not, just go ahead and get whatever multitap system suits your needs. kegconnection is very good. I have also used bvrgelements.com with great success. If you are looking to dispense without carbonating, you would need a nitro set up as well. Very easily done, and you would also get that from kegconnection, etc.

You'll need separate gases. CO2 will dissolve into your mixed drinks and carbonate them at fridge temperatures. You'll want to dispense those with nitrogen. Otherwise, the kegging section of this forum is a good place to start and should have all the info you need. If you're already using commercial sanke kegs filled with commercial beer and not homebrew, you'll probably want to get cornelius kegs for the mixed drinks as they're easier to pull apart and clean/refill.
